Short/Long term Goals

Short-Term Goals:

  1. Revise and Modernize Curriculum:

    • Update the syllabus to include modern tools like CAD/CAM, ANSYS, MATLAB, and new subjects like 3D Printing and Industry 4.0.

  2. Introduce Value-Added Courses:

    • Offer certificate courses on CNC programming, automotive design, robotics, and renewable energy systems.

  3. Strengthen Industry Tie-Ups:

    • Sign MoUs with manufacturing and design industries for internships, live projects, and industrial visits.

  4. Upgrade Laboratories:

    • Modernize labs with the latest equipment and simulation software to align with the revised curriculum.

  5. Promote Student Projects and Competitions:

    • Encourage participation in SAE BAJA, Go-Kart, Solar Vehicle Challenge, and technical paper presentations.

  6. Faculty Skill Enhancement:

    • Conduct Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) on new technologies like IoT in Manufacturing, Mechatronics, and Additive Manufacturing.


    Long-Term Goals:

  1. Establish Centers of Excellence (CoEs):

    • Set up CoEs in areas like Robotics, Advanced Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, and Thermal Systems.

  2. Promote Research and Patents:

    • Encourage faculty and students to undertake funded research projects and apply for patents in innovative mechanical solutions.

  3. Offer Interdisciplinary and Industry-Integrated Programs:

    • Launch specialized tracks in Mechatronics, AI in Manufacturing, or Automotive Engineering in collaboration with industries.

  4. Develop Incubation and Innovation Hubs:

    • Support startups and entrepreneurship by providing prototyping support and mentorship for mechanical product development.

  5. Enhance Placements in Core Companies:

    • Build strong links with core mechanical industries for better internships and placement opportunities.

  6. Pursue National and International Accreditations:

    • Work towards NBA, NAAC (A grade or above), and tie-ups with foreign universities for collaborative research and exchange programs.
